New Chase Cash Back Card – Freedom Unlimited 1.5% Cash Back for All Purchases

Chase Freedom Unlimited (Service Mark) card

In March, 2016, Chase added one more Cash Back Card, Freedom Unlimited, 1.5% cash back for all purchases, and still kept the traditional Freedom, 5% on specific categories on up to $1500 combined purchases each quarter.

Now you can earn $150 after you spend $500 on purchases in your first 3 months from account opening for both Chase Freedom Unlimited and Chase Freedom.

Earn a $25 bonus when you add your first authorized user and make your first purchase within this same 3-month period.  Even though you do not prefer to have an authorized user, just add your mom or dad, and use the card for one time, then you can earn the $25 bonus.  You can delete them after the bonus received.

Chase Freedom Card 5% Cash Back on specific categories each quarter

For traditional Chase Freedom, if you are able to fully utilize the 5% bonus on specific categories each quarter, you are able to earn 7,500 Ultimate Rewards per quarter and 30,000 Ultimate Rewards per year on 5% categories in addition to all other purchases for 1%.

For Freedom Unlimited, you need to spend $20,000 to earn 30,000 Ultimate Rewards. I agreed this card is simple, but you potentially earn less.  If you like it simple, you can consider Citi Double Cash Card for 2%, 1% when you purchase and 1% when you pay, no cap on earning.
