Travel Credit for Year End 2016

Chase Sapphire Reserve

Do not Waste Your Unused Travel Credit

Wish you a joyful holiday and happy new year.  We are in the last week of December and please make sure you fully utilize your travel credit.

Chase Sapphire Reserve 100,000 Bonus Points Offer

Travel credit goes by calendar year, from January 1 to December 31.  If you apply a new credit card recently, like my wife just got her Chase Sapphire Reverse in December, she can use her $300 travel credit by December 31.

Recently, we went to Los Angeles and used partial of her $300 travel credit towards parking for approximately $100. Unfortunately we do not have any more travel plans until next year.  Therefore, we pre-booked our hotel for next trip and used major part of the remaining travel credit.  After that, she still has $10 unused balance and we used that to load up our toll payment.

Travel credit is equivalent to cash. You paid $450 annual fees to get the benefits and you should optimize your return. Please do not waste your travel credit.

Chase Sapphire Reserve Travel Credit

Chase Sapphire Reserve travel credit has fewer restrictions than other credit cards offer and it reimburses automatically within 24 hours when the qualified transactions post on the account.

According to its definition of travel category, it includes airlines, hotels, motels, timeshare, campgrounds, car rental agencies, cruise lines, travel agencies, discount travel sites, and operators of passenger trains, buses, taxis, limousines, ferries, toll bridges and highways, and parking lots and garages. Please note that some merchants that provide transportation and travel-related services are not included in this category; for example, real estate agents, websites or owners that rent vacation properties, in-flight goods and services, on-board cruise line goods and services, sightseeing activities, tourist attractions, merchants within airports, and merchants that rent vehicles for the purpose of hauling.
